How to Organize Your Clothing & Accessories for 2019
Does the start of a new year make you want to get your home more organized? Clearing out clutter and utilizing the space in your home more efficiently can be so soothing! I currently need to focus on my master closet. We added the closet on a few years ago when I was pregnant and, truthfully, I haven’t thoroughly organized it since then. I’d say it’s about time.
Below I have included tips and products currently available for organizing your clothing, boots, handbags, accessories, and jewelry.

Clothing
Are you looking for new hangers for your closet? Velvet hangers are great for saving space and keeping your clothing from slipping off onto the floor. I would love to have a closet full of matching hangers…maybe someday.
Open-ended hangers provide easy access to your pants and jeans.

Boots
Tall boots require a little more care to keep them looking their best. I have the clear view boxes shown below and recommend them. I like that I can easily see my boots while keeping them from gathering dust or getting creases in the leather.
Boot shapers are another option for preventing the bending and creasing that can happen to boots and can be used with boots placed inside boxes or with those you want to store standing up in your closet.

Handbags
I recommend storing handbags in bins or dust bags. I have seen options that involve hanging them up on racks or hooks, but this method can cause damage to the handles and no one wants that to happen. Fabric bins like the one shown below are great for clutches. Larger handbags can be stored in hanging holders or sat on shelves after being covered with dust bags.
Storage Tip: When storing handbags, stuff the bags in order to maintain shape. Handbags can be stuffed with acid-free tissue paper or bubble wrap.

Accessories
Fabric storage cubes are great for storing items such as hats.
There are many options for hanging scarves. I have one of the hangers sectioned into circles and honestly it’s not my favorite. I think I would prefer the space saving hanger shown below. It features foam padding so scarves won’t slide around and swinging arms for easy access.
For a fun way to display and store belts, wrap and stack them on paper towel holders. I like the one shown below due to its weighted bottom. (I use this exact one in my kitchen.)

Jewelry
If you have a cabinet or dresser on which to display and store jewelry, I recommend the jewelry stand shown below. It is large and sturdy and perfect for displaying necklaces, bracelets, and rings. Jewelry is too pretty to always be tucked away in a drawer or box!
If you have open wall space, a wall-mounted jewelry organizer is also a good option. There are many small styles available. If you have a large open wall space and the $$$, the mirrored hanging jewelry closet below is both beautiful and functional!
